God, Death and Soap Operas

Excuse the fact that this blog has become somewhat something of a release but recently a tragedy has come in my life making me wonder a little about death and God. First of all I'm going to explain one thing. I was born and raised as a catholic. For awhile I became convinced that this was really not for me. Now I have become certain that this is what I am. But after a death, I find it hard to keep up my faith, or beleive what it says!

It's wierd you know...sometimes I find that I'm captured in a a soap opera! I hate it, most especially because i hate soap operas! I can never get into them. The feeling of being thrust into one seems rediculous!!! (excuse the spelling)

SOMEONE GET ME OUT OF THIS~!

I'm not a deeply religious man, but I feel, as I'm sure many others do, that our faith is like a safety net that allows you to bounce back when something really shitty happens. You can believe what you want to believe, as long as you believe in something. To not have faith in anything is to wander through life aimlessly, with nothing to grab you if you fall.

Sorry, there was some dramatic music playing.

Ok, first of all, wow, you really butchered the word RIDICULOUS.

On another note, as for your faith. You know I'm not religious, nor do I believe in any religions. However, as your religion states, God does these things for a reason. Although it's hard to continue believing in God when so many horrible things happen in the world, where would humanity be if everything were perfect? There can't be peace and harmony in the world. Otherwise what goal would we as humans have other than to better the world we live in? As much as it sucks, there needs to be pain and suffering in the world for humanity as a race to continue. Otherwise, there really would be no point.
